Resumen

MALETTA, Ana Paula Braz; FERREIRA, Maria Manuela Martinho  y  TOMAS, Catarina Almeida. Childhood in pandemic times: what about the curriculum and pedagogical practices?. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2020, vol.26, e34110.  Epub 16-Dic-2020. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc.v26.2020.34110.

Covid-19 impacted family, economic-labour, socio-cultural daily life, including childhood. Focused on the confinement period and on two qualitative studies in Brazil and Portugal, we analysed: i) the official measures and recommendations of COVID-19 for early childhood education (documentary research); ii) how the curriculum and pedagogical practices were reconfigured by Brazilian educators (interviews) and by Portuguese educators (publications on Facebook). Without seeking generalizations or comparisons between different socio-political, educational, and professional realities, the value of early childhood education on child well-being is reflected and the (im)possibilities of developing curriculum and pedagogical practices in the distance and in the technological impersonality are discussed.

Palabras clave : Childhood; Pandemic; Early Childhood Education; Curriculum; Pedagogic Practices.
