Maria Letícia Barros Pedroso is a livre-docente professor at the School of Education of University of São Paulo (USP) in which she graduated in Pedagogy and did her Master and Doctorate degrees in education. In 2014 she concluded her post-doctorate in the field of Sociology of Childhood at the University of Sussex, UK. Since 2010, she coordinates the Group of Studies and Research on Sociology of Childhood and Early Childhood Education (GEPSI), associated to USP. In this interview, on July 2020, we talked about children’s social participation in a scenario of crisis, thinking about challenges, tensions, and impacts to children and to the childhood field.
