Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Carolina Bessa Ferreira de  and  MENDES, Gilene Pinheiro da Silva. Woman, education and trade union movement in Brazil: intersectional reflections. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2021, vol.27, e34726.  Epub Feb 26, 2021. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc.v27.2021.34726.

This article brings reflections from ongoing master's research and presents intersectional reflections on the conquest of space for female trade union representations. It aims to analyze feminist struggles in the national union movement, with education as a central factor in the union agenda. It is based on qualitative explanatory research, organized by the literature review procedure. It shows that multiple intersected oppressions are challenges for female representation in the union struggle, which can, however, be faced through education.

Keywords : Education; Trade Unionism; Intersectionality.
