Leisure should be part of the daily life of the population, as guaranteed by the Federal Constitution (Brazil, 1988), however, not everyone has access. It is a qualitative research with a focus group approach with eight participating professors. The main findings were that leisure time experiences should not be related to work, as leisure is the distance from obligations, it is physical and mental rest. Main experiences in leisure time are: bathing, traveling, watching movies, reading, physical exercise and listening to music. Leisure is fundamental to the teacher's health, as reports of illness are increasing in this population.
