Abstract

This paper aims to debate professorship in higher education related to the making up of professors’ knowledge who work in undergraduate studies of a public institution. The main theoretical presuppositions were: Tardif (2014), Gauthier et al. (2013), Pacheco (2019), Cunha (2010), among others. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with nine professors. As a result, it was observed that the making up of professorship´s knowledge covered the paths of the subjects' life stories and experiences during training and professional performance in higher education by experiencing set forth with peers, students, course management, studies and training.
