Abstract

SILVA, Francisco Vieira da. Discursive positions about homeschooling in Brazil in Twitter posts. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2021, vol.27, e38943.  Epub Sep 14, 2021. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc27202138943.

The study examines discursive positions about homeschooling in Brazil in Twitter posts, in order to investigate which relations of knowledge-power are mobilized in the constitution of these discourses. To this end, it takes as theoretical support the investigations of Foucault (2010) about discourse, statement and discursive formation. About the methodology, this is a descriptive-interpretative study of qualitative nature. The knowledge-power relations are in agreement to the ways in which homeschooling is enunciated, namely: revolt against homeschooling, acknowledgement of the impacts on the teaching profession, and in favor of this educational modality.

Keywords : Homeschooling; Discourse; Twitter; Educational policies.
