Abstract

MARTINEZ, Flavia Wegrzyn Magrinelli; SILVA, Analígia Miranda da  and  COSTA, Ana Caroline Oliveira. Precariousness and uncertainties: teaching work of the beginning teacher in times of Covid-19. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2021, vol.27, e39036.  Epub Oct 01, 2021. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc27202139036.

This article presents the results of a survey carried out with 84 beginning teachers working in Basic Education and Higher Education, from 15 Brazilian states. The study aimed to unveil the experiences of teachers at the beginning of their careers in the current context of Emergency Remote Education (ERE), due to Covid-19. To obtain the data, a questionnaire made available via Google Forms on social network was used. For data analysis, Content Analysis was used (Bardin, 2016). The research reveals that the long hours of work in precarious conditions have generated intense emotional exhaustion, leading to a process of exhaustion and emotional illness.

Keywords : Beginning teacher; Remote teaching; Experience.
