Abstract

The aim was to understand the experiences of five female health courses professors at public institutions of higher education during covid-19 pandemic. The phenomenological analysis pointed out: recognition of limitations in health care system; rearrangement of time dedicated to virtual work; readjustment in the routine of reconciling personal, family and professional life; change in the dynamics of family relationships; suffering in perceiving knowledge limitations; missing face-to-face spaces; presenteeism and seeking unprofessional help. It was concluded an urgent need for preventive and health-promoting policies for professors during and after the pandemic.
