Abstract

BARENCO CORREA DE MELLO, Marisol; MOREIRA LOPES, Jader Janer  and  CARNEIRO LIMA, Márcia Fernanda. Why do we laugh at children?. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2021, vol.27, e35191.  Epub July 19, 2021. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc27202135191.

Why do we laugh at children? Why do we take their speeches, their thoughts, their logic and their discoveries as exotic, fun, inhospitable and laughable? Why, in an auditorium full of childhood researchers, does a child's logical statement provoke loud laughs? In this article, we will reflect on the conditions of research with children in a society that does not take them as enunciating subjects. If we understand that the minimum conditions of any dialogue are the word in response and responsive understanding, having the act of listening as a prior to any act in language, we need to build a field that does not exist: the one of the child's full word.

Keywords : Education; Children's enunciate; Research with children.
