As from the sociological approach, we reflect on the place of emotions in the process of struggle with the occupation of schools by high school students in 2016. The empirical material consists of 23 interviews that are organized in two sets: the first comprises interviews conducted in 2016 with seven students from Curitiba; and the second, interviews which took place in 2019, when 16 students from schools in different municipalities in the state of Paraná participated. We dialogue with authors of the sociology of emotions, seeking to outline how emotions present themselves in the narratives of young students who occupied schools.
