This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of family ties developed during the covid-19 pandemic by families with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, considering the care aimed at this public. Through qualitative research, we applied two data collection instruments to the family members. The data point to maternal overload, difficulty of dealing with the autistic person at home without support, and interruption and/or precarious offer of treatments and psychological and medical follow-up in the pandemic context. Thus, it is clear that government actions to support these families are necessary.
