This research aimed to map the psychosocial risk and protection factors perceived by university students. A total of 389 students from 26 public and private institutions participated in this qualitative research. From the content analysis, four categories were identified: 1) Interpersonal relationships and social support; 2) Educational Policies and Institutional Support; 3) Demand and productivity levels; 4) Professional choice. The research indicates the prevalence of risk factors and the need for prevention actions that reach the complexity of the university environment.
