Abstract

NEUENFELDT, Derli Juliano; OLIVEIRA, Elzanira Sousa de  and  BAUMGARTEN, Macgregor. Physical education at school: challenges, overcomes and live classes return. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2022, vol.28, e44216.  Epub Oct 17, 2022. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc28202244216.

This qualitative research analyzed perceptions of teachers and managers about the process of continuing the teaching of School Physical Education in the period of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus and live classes return. This study was held with two schools in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in which we interviewed the directive teams and PE teachers. During remote classes teachers used Google for Education resources and offered printed activities to students who did not have access to Internet. The return to school is united to a feeling of happiness, however we notice that students’ social skills development and physical ability were undermined by the pandemic.
