The aim article is to discuss the continuing education of teachers having as problematization the insertion of immigrant students in public schools of the municipal education network in Manaus. This is a documentary and bibliographic research, considering the legal frameworks that ensure the rights of the immigrant person, followed by a bibliographic analysis about the phenomenon of migration and access to education. The results show that it is necessary to train and empower the teacher so that they can intervene significantly in the difficulties of the teaching-learning process experienced by both immigrant student and the teacher in the classroom.
