This article analyzes the academic production about “The Federal University Restructuring and Expansion Plan Support Program” (REUNI), precisely the production of theses and dissertations since 2009 up until 2018. REUNI was createdby decree nº. 6.096/2007, operationalizing, the expansion of the Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior (IFES), with the global goal is the increased number of students in undergraduate courses. This article used bibliographic research as methodology. Dissertations and theses in the Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) were used as a sample. Analyzed texts support the thesis that REUNI is still a relevant academic schedule in the area of higher education. Another very important aspectthat is important to mention it is that the Program has achieved in the Federal Universities, including its developments in academic life and in the processes of expansion, internalization and management, enabling and demanding a deeper analysis and interpretation
