The National School Feeding Program has been our relevant object of study considering its execution time and coverage spectrum, as it involves, in addition to education, health sectors and social interests. It is a theoretical writing, outlined through a documentary research. Firstly, we present a global overview of school feeding programs. Afterwards, we present the national program with its objectives, guidelines, regulations and operationalization. Finally, we present some aspects involving finances, starting from the historical evolution of the financing of Education in Brazil and the contradictions that can be shown through this relation.
