Abstract

This paper presents a reflection about the theoretical and methodological conditions underlying the realization of investigative projects in education, referring both to the history of education and comparative education in the same linguistic space. In the first part of the text is established a relation between the initial phases of constitution of the field and the renewed interest in the comparative studies nowadays. In this double record, situated in time between the final of the XIX century and the last decades of the XX century, that we find elements for the meeting of comparison with history, crossing with strong implications for the development of studies in history of colonial education. In the second part of the text we search for an articulation of the work of comparison with the educative processes that develop in different time-space of the portuguese language universe.
