This article, registered as part of research about curricular policy developed in the Education Center of the Santa Catarina Federal University - UFSC, seeks to systematize some reflections about the curriculum field originated in the debates of the Symposiums which occurred upon the occasion of the XV ENDIPE (National Meeting of Didactic and School Practice), held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in April 2010. Taking the discussions at the tables as a mote about curricular theory, curriculum policies and school curriculum and the texts of the symposium participants, the author pinpoints and analyzes the main missing pieces currently present in the scope of these movements, highlighting above all, aspects of a possible detachment of the theorist debate about the curriculum field in relation to its materiality in school environments. Apart from identifying the lapses existing in this relationship, the article discusses the place of schooling content in the face of the current tensions that mark the conceptual debate between the critical and post-critical theories of the curriculum.
