Abstract

BATISTA, Douglas Emiliano. The school of political equality and the school of the psy differences: when the public education is replaced by a "special" one. Educação. Porto Alegre [online]. 2015, vol.38, n.2, pp.212-221. ISSN 1981-2582.  https://doi.org/10.15448/1981-2582.2015.2.20047.

Resorting to the theoretical universe of psychoanalysis and of the Arendtian thought, this study reflects on a paradox that involves the politics of school inclusion. The twentieth century witnessed the psychologization of the educational discourse and an emptying of the public dimension of the education system. During this period, the common or regular school was replaced by a "special" school "adequate" to the "student's psychological capacity to learn". So, the public education system aspires to operate "custom fitted" to meet the "special needs" of its students from public and special schools. In sum, this article intends to approach some of the effects of this system education for the special students.
