This paper is about conceptions Pedagogy female students' childhoods in a private higher education institution in the large Porto Alegre. We have problematised other ways of understanding childhood in the teachers' training. We have investigated displacements and challenge in their discourses about childhood, using as a methodology for research a bricolage with reading strategies, videos, pictures, individual memories, students' diaries and analyses of their discursiveness. The theoretical framework draws on Bujes (2005), Dornelles (2010), Larrosa (2001), Marques (2013) among others. We conclude that the shifts in childhood conceptions of the surveyed students, do not have a uniform and linear fashion, but unlike showed advances and setbacks in their ways of conceptualizing and understanding the childhoods that make up the daily life of their work. We understand from the research that is urgent to invest "forces" to halt the modern discourse on childhood in the Faculty of Education and instigating the students to produce "other" ways of looking, thinking and dealing with multiple childhoods out there.
