Abstract

The importance achieved by the film narrative is related to the transformation of the human eye in modernity. The ability to cause enchantment and to intervene in the construction of the world view generated the development of various experiences around the use of films in education. The research project "Time and space in evidence: the production of short films involving aspects of the city of São José do Rio Preto to practice the teaching of history and geography" part of this context of appreciation of cinema in research and practices related to field of education. This project aimed to the experience of a training process based on the production of videos related to the mentioned school knowledge and linked to empirical reality of the city in question, as well as a training process that allowed the establishment of an educational ethos grounded in autonomy.
