Abstract

The present article aims to present the results of a research conducted between the years of 2013 and 2016 that investigated the perceptions of undergraduate students of a state public university regarding teaching. The research was based on the qualitative approach and, as a parameter for examining the collaborators' manifestations, the assumptions of the Putnam discourse analysis; Fairhust (2001) and the studies related to the universe of social representations from Moscovici's perspective (2010). At the end of the study, the need for undergraduate courses was made available to the students and faculty through a curriculum matrix and the classes given, a critical reflection on the specificities of the teaching profession and the set of characteristics that make up the professional identity.
