Abstract

SOUZA, Sulivan Ferreira de  and  OLIVEIRA, Ivanilde Apoluceno de. Teaching of Philosophy in the amazon: the insurgence of other philosophies. Educação. Porto Alegre [online]. 2020, vol.43, n.2, e31281.  Epub Feb 01, 2021. ISSN 1981-2582.  https://doi.org/10.15448/1981-2582.2020.2.31281.

This article presents an excerpt from a research carried out in the philosophy course at two public universities in the city of Belém, State of Pará, financed by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). The purpose of this article is to discuss decolonial insurgencies in the teaching of philosophy. The theoretical approach is from the conceptual network of the Decolonial collective. It is a qualitative study, consisting of field research, bibliographic and documentary survey. Four (4) students were interviewed. It was inferred that the first posture to decolonize the teaching of philosophy is the critical reflection of those who experience philosophy, as well as problematizing the history of philosophy, the canons of the philosophical tradition, deconstructing the plastered and dogmatic conceptions of philosophy, that is, carrying out an epistemological / philosophical anthropophagy.

Keywords : education; teaching philosophy; coloniality; decoloniality; educational epistemology.
