This account of memories follows a life memorial methodology and recovers names, data, events, and authors around my journey in the years when I did my master's and doctorate's research in the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. I make a posthumous tribute to my advisor, and I recover some of the motivations to my research on the school managers field and its relationship with the quality of education in the scope of Catholic education on K to 12 schools.
