This study aims to analyse the perception of Higher Education faculty members about Education for Global Citizenship in the process of training students. This research is identified as a qualitative study, of a descriptive character and with a case study approach. In order to perform the data collection an online questionnaire was used and the data was analyzed according to the principles of content analysis. Through the faculty members’ perceptions, it was possible to identify that they have an understanding of the principles of Education for Global Citizenship, as well as are concerned with the development of citizens committed to tolerance and understanding, aiming at building a more fair and solidary society. Thus, Higher Education can promote an education capable of preparing students for the challenges of the local and global context in which they are inserted, through innovative pedagogical practices, focused at training students in a holistic approach.
