Abstract

PAULA, Alisson Slider do Nascimento de; COSTA, Frederico Jorge Ferreira  and  LIMA, Kátia Regina Rodrigues. The model of accountability and the policy of evaluation of higher education in Brazil. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.60, pp.362-385.  Epub Feb 04, 2020. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.19.060.ao03.

The present text seeks the articulation of the neoliberal rationality expressed in the evaluation, the logic of regulation as accountability and the mechanisms that constitute the logic of the evaluation of higher education, as well as define the standards of its quality. For methodological treatment, we used the qualitative approach. This is a bibliographical and documentary research. It was verified that the National System of Evaluation of Higher Education uses several mechanisms to operationalize the evaluation, with its centrality based on the performance exam as basis of the regulatory processes of the Institutions of Higher Education, besides the use of classificatory, comparative and classificatory indicators for the systematization of data for the establishment of rankings between institutions.

Keywords : Accountability; SINAES; Quality; Higher education.
