Abstract

CAFE, Laércio de Jesus  and  SIMOES, Regina Maria Rovigati. Mapping brazilian scientific production on the formation and model of multivalent schools. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.76, pp.531-555.  Epub Apr 05, 2023. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.23.076.ao03.

This work aims to map the scientific productions on Multipurpose Schools created in Brazil, based on a literature review of the “state of knowledge” type, referring to educational research on the creation and performance of these institutions. The mapping comprises the survey of works, theses and dissertations, carried out in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the CAPES Portal, BDTD and the Google platform, with productions covering the years 1971 to 2021. In the mapping, 348 theses and dissertations were investigated, with the descriptor “Multipurpose”, and after analysing, the theme, the abstract and the introductions, 11 theses and dissertations were selected that belonged to this specific cut, with nuances that this model provided contributing to the pedagogical formation. In the analysis, the qualitative and quantitative variables of authorship, year of publication, type of study, institution, region, name of the program, title of the work, objective, methodology and research instrument were taken into account. The analysis helped us to perceive the scarcity of productions and the urgency on the subject, making evident an interest in productions on the educational model, and that despite great approaches on polyvalence were outside the focus of this analysis. We hope that the information, referring to the school group of the Polyvalent Schools, associated with historical studies that these productions of knowledge can provide, will enable its contribution to educational practice.
