Abstract

This article has the purpose of discussing the limits end procedures on the studies of the “state of Art”. When it presents reflections concerning studies achieved by the authors in participations in group researches about the state of art on teacher development, and it is intended to bring for discussion the contributions of this kind of investigation. Given this, it includes some of the paths which those studies and researches have been taking about teacher development surveys and methodological trends for this kind of research achievement. The state of art achievement makes possible the effectuation on the research balancing in a specific area. In the last decade, there has been a great deal of interest concerning the studies about teacher development, and in Brazil, with the achievements of the state of the art such as the ones developed by INEP. The difficulty to access the periodic texts and theses, makes the research slow and turns it into a complex achievement.
