The present survey describes the methodological paths gone through in order to investigate educational concepts and practice by kindergarten teachers of a Municipal Center of Education. Its aim has been to identify the knowledge employed to steer pedagogic practice in the use of children’s body movement aged 3 to 6. The data have been collected by means of observing pedagogic practice, holding semi-structured interviews, analyzing documents, and photographic images. In search of a way which would not split up facts and/or events to be investigated in everyday practice from the kindergarten teachers the choice has been to focus the study in the four dimensions that comprise the school ambience unity: the institutional one, the instructional one, the time dimension and the space dimension. Therefore, this study shows the utilization of ethnographic techniques in the investigation of pedagogic practice in everyday school life in the kindergarten level.
