The article is about the investigation on the science paradigms that characterize the knowledge and, consequently, the academic and professional practice. It presents the evolution of the scientific thought along the history of humanity, specially, in what refers to the science paradigms and its influence on education. It contemplates the reflection about the paradigmatic changes on the evolution of the science from the Cartesian thought to the complex thought. Since this historical evolution it proposes the characterization of the presupposed matters of the traditional paradigm and the complexity and its implications on the context of education.
