The present study focus on some experiences in Distance Learning in Higher Education after the 1990s in our country, the role for a new teacher and student culture in Higher Education Institutions and the results of new experiments conducted as a consultant and professor in Distance Learning Courses for Higher Education. It approaches the importance of teacher development at latu sensu level, as well as the development of tutors at an academic consultancy view, aimed at the comprehension of distance learning education as a complex modality of the teaching system, where both professors and tutors are educated professionals who must effectively participate in the political teaching project of the Institution.
