Abstract

The present article argues school culture material from a set of elements that - directly or indirectly - support the process of teach-learning in its more varied physical-social expressions and spaces, as a way for the formation of the teacher of religious teaching. It evidences that, besides archives, written and iconographic documents, knowledge produced by the pedagogical resources and governmental politics directed to the didactic book adoption toward the schools, these same sources are also educational points of convergence of uses and meanings. It foments, therefore, the necessity of the teacher of Religious Teaching to evaluate with more property the pedagogical conceptions, the practices and knowledge connected the school materials used in the activities of teaching-learning. It identifies in the research on school material culture, one of the ways to elucidate the inherent complexity of the challenges of the teaching formation of the area of Religious Teaching, mainly in what it relates to the problematic of the diversity.
