This article discusses the academic production on teacher education for vocational education from the perspective of teacher education as a whole, pointing out the urgency of the issue, since this modality is as a permanent social challenge. From the publications available at the Capes website (Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel) and Anped (National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education), it is a discussion on the publications of teacher training. Under the light of the materialistic perspective, there is almost no research and publications on this subject, being understood that this comes from the blurring of political training for these teachers.
