This article discusses the various forms of production of knowledge that occurred in the last twenty years in our region by presenting some reflective notes that allow discuss about the various mode of knowledge production in educational policy were developed from the link academic researchers began to have a dominant mode in the 1990s with the decision makers. Debating the categories of the new mode of knowledge production, the symbolic analyst and policy approach based on evidence and that somehow confront and undermine the strength of what we call academic research in educational policy. Developing the Approach of Educational Policy Epistemologies as a way of epistemological vigilance on the very process of educational policy research.
