This text describes a process of classifying books in the Field of Education. It reports the efforts made to ensure that books, a vehicle that expresses a large part of production in Education, be given their due value, with a strict evaluation, appropriate and faithful to its purpose. It initially identifies the context in which the evaluation is performed and then the procedures employed. It demonstrates that a lot remains to be improved in the process performed, but that what has already been developed has meant a significant advacnce insofar as it confers reliability on the evaluation of the intellectual production of Graduate Programs.
