This paper aims at introducing five-year's children in the scientific method, considering it as a process that promotes the acquisition and development of skills, abilities and competencies in students, promoting the integral development of a person's physical, cognitive, emotional and social levels. The design of this proposal covers from its theoretical fundamentation to its practice. This design, built on the phases of the scientific method applied to the study of a snail, seeks to develop aspects that contribute to scientific literacy and integral development in students, along contents belonging to the curriculum design from preschool education transversaly. Thiswork is based on a global and constructivist methodology, resulting in positive contributions in terms of performance and personal developments of the student.
