This article of the following problems: how to set up the educational proposal the Tables from the analytical intuition defended by Sampaio Dória? The following objectives are established: understand Sampaio Dóriare commendations for teaching the Tables from your analytical and intuitive method to identify, where possible, the links between reading, writing and arithmetic know (Tables) in methodological terms. The privileged sources are some writings Sampaio Dória, which were published in the Journal of the Society of Education (Revista da Sociedade de Educação) (1923-1924). For the analysis of sources are used the theoretical and methodological indicators of cultural history, like the Chartier study (1990, 1998). The analysis shows that from the intuitive analytical method Sampaio Dória studying the Tables lead the child in a progressive way out of intuition to define, from the concrete to the abstract.
