Abstract

GUIMARAES, Mauro  and  GRANIER, Noeli Borek. Environmental education and training process in crisis time. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2017, vol.17, n.55, pp.1574-1597.  Epub Feb 11, 2020. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.17.055.ds06.

This study investigates the potentialities of other epistemologies in environmental educators training process, from experiences of “ComVivência Pedagógica” with Indigenous people' communities, as a referential for other worldviews and a “reunion with natural”. Faced with the serious and complex current socio-environmental crisis, it starts by the observation that modern epistemological perspective, built under disjunction and reduction paradigms on environmental approach, combined with a utilitarian conception of nature, drift apart human being from his essence of natural being. Pointing out that training environmental educators requires constantly new approaches to promote deconstruction of hegemony’s standards, proposes a dialogue of knowledge from the perspective of critical interculturality, to construct other ways of being, doing and knowing. The experiences of “reunion with natural”, combined with the methodological strategy of “ComVivência Pedagógica” with other referential, revealed to be very pedagogical to environmental educators training process.

Keywords : Environmental Educators Training; Dialogue of Knowledge; Critical Interculturality.
