Abstract

The present study aimed to evaluate the training and didactic-pedagogical practices of the bachelor teachers of the graduation course in administration of a Higher Education Institution of the Central Hinterland of Ceará. Methodologically, this research is considered qualitative and descriptive, carried out through a case study. In its making, a structured questionnaire and semi-structured and unstructured interview scripts were used. For the data analysis, the content analysis of Bardin (2011), which uses categories, was adopted as method. The results show that in relation to the professional profile of the teachers, the majority are specialists and seek professional appreciation. In regarding teaching didactic-pedagogical practices, it was identified that teachers seek to align theory and practice through educational dynamics, which are based on the Pedagogical Project of the Administration Course. It was also verified that these methodologies consist of traditional teaching-learning models. In relation to the recruitment and selection process, it was verified that the human resources manager, the course coordinator and the pedagogical assistant, value the academic, professional and pedagogical formation of the candidate, and as institutional incentives they have the help of costs for lato sensu and stricto sensu formations and pedagogical meetings. Besides, it is concluded that the institution has as an educational policy for the continuing formation of its teaching staff.
