Abstract

SOARES, Luiz Paulo da Silva  and  CHAIGAR, Vânia Alves Martins. Kinematic media under the teaching perspective: a study on the teaching of history in the city of Rio Grande/RS. Rev. Diálogo Educ. The present work aims to present some research results developed in the Masters in Education, in the period 2015-2017. We seek to understand which teachers' conceptions about kinematic media and what roles they assign in the teaching of History in the city of Rio Grande/RS. To do so, we used semistructured questionnaires and answered by 26 teachers from the public basic education network and interviews with five from this group of respondents. The methodology used to develop the research was quantitative-qualitative, whose data are described as significant, dense and a wealth of information. To carry out the research development we opted for the method of content analysis proposed by Laurence Bardin (2012). Content analysis was used in the two instruments used to collect empirical data: semi-structured questionnaires and oral interviews. And the results found during the investigative course revealed the understanding of a kinematic media that is configured as a historical source and, as such, able to develop the contents of History, as well as its educational character and generator of cognitive abilities such as analysis, interpretation , reflection, in addition to providing the widening of the students' aesthetic senses. Therefore, we reaffirm that kinematic media in the classroom is more than a didactic tool because it involves subjective, historical, political, aesthetic issues that require the teacher to know it well to explore its educational potential.
