Abstract

This article aimed to analyze the last five Institutional Self-Assessment Reports of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), prepared by the institution's Own Evaluation Committee (CPA), using the Institutional Evaluation Instrument (IAIE) of 2017 as reference. This investigation it has a qualitative approach, with a bibliographic-documental strategy. The SWOT analysis was used as an administrative tool to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that impacted - positively or negatively - on the quality of education offered by UFPB. This research found that, out of a total of fifty indicators from the IAIE 2017, from SINAES, the institutional self-assessment processes analyzed covered only three, in accordance with the RAAIs made available, concluding that the analyzed processes did not meet the ten dimensions provided for in the SINAES, which makes an IFES global vision unfeasible.
