This text deals with the subject of education for teacher in the area of vocational education (Forprofep) taking as a starting point some propositions aimed at a critical and expanded treatment of that subject. The objective is to present points for discussion about Forprofep in Brazil, and to contribute for debating regarding high school programs in that area, after the so-called counter-reform at that level of education. The propositions range from teleological-conceptual and contextual aspects to more specific ones related to pedagogical-didactics area. In relation to each one of the propositions, questions are raised that can guide the theoretical-practical work on Forprofep. At the end, it is presented a great goal and the dialogue condition between school people in designing projects of education for teacher that materialize an education with excellence and socially referenced.
