Complex systems can organize themselves in a way aimed at creativity and authenticity, a characteristic called self-transcendence. In this article, the creative classroom is seen as a complex system that seeks self-transcendence, a characteristic of transdisciplinary nature. Our goal was to find out if our research group on creativity developed these skills - creativity and self-transcendence - in students through practices involving Mindfulness and the Artsci method. Our methodology was divided into two qualitative analyses. The first was the archetypal symbolic process about the last practice of the semester. The second analysis was Bardin's content analysis, on improving creativity and other benefits of the research group's practices. In the results of the first analysis, we found symbols and archetypes that referred to the aspect of security necessary for the achievement of the students' autonomy and personal fulfillment. In the second analysis, we found that creative practices were important for the development of creativity, self-knowledge, self-esteem, self-reflection and well-being. These results indicate that creativity and self-transcendence skills were developed. We believe that this model contributes to the development of creative schools that promote not only creativity, but the integral awareness of human beings.
