Abstract

ANDRADE, Rodrigo Pinto de  and  TOLEDO, Cézar Alencar Arnaut de. The implantation of concordia lutheran school (1955-1969) in the context of the colonization of western Paraná. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.73, pp.528-549.  Epub Dec 17, 2022. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.22.073.ds02.

This text aims to analyze the schooling process in the context of colonization of Western Paraná, which resulted in the creation of Concordia Lutheran School, from Marechal Cândido Rondon, in the year of 1955. It is a historical and documentary study which is integrated in the history of educational institutions, and the proposal is to investigate the history of the implantation, development and consolidation of one of the first denominational school institutions from region Western of Paraná. The data were analyzed following the procedures proposed by Paolo Nosella e Ester Buffa (2009) whose methodology relates the specificities of educational institutions to the more general movement of society. The following sources were used to carry out the research: Book-Atas of the Concordia Lutheran School and Rui Barbosa Evangelical Junior High School; Book-Atas of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brazil; Minutes of the Toledo City Hall (1959-1960); Minutes of the Municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon (1961-1969); Municipal laws and Final Exam Minutes Book. The school reflected, in the first years of operation, the social distinctions established in the general context, of which it became part and designed these same distinctions. His assumptions of a moral education did not depart from the educational policies in force in the country and from the educational demands of the ruling groups of the society of Marechal Cândido Rondon.
