Abstract

TRANCOSO, Fabiano Ferraz; SILVA, Flaviana dos Santos  and  PEIXOTO, Jurema Lindote Botelho. Computational thinking in motion: digital narratives in the construction of functional relationships with scratch software. Rev. Diálogo Educ. This article intends to present an extract of the results of a master's research that aimed to investigate the possible implications of computational thinking in the study of functional relations to promote the construction of the concept of affine function through the Scratch software. The teaching intervention took place with students in the 1st year of high school in the technical course in Administration at a school in the municipality of Ilhéus/BA. Therefore, a qualitative approach of an almost experimental character was adopted, in which the theoretical contributions of Computational Thinking and the use of Active Methodologies were considered. The results showed that the use of the Scratch software from the production of digital narratives contributed to the development of computational thinking, the understanding of the variable concept, the dependency relationship between the variables and the formation law of the affine function. In addition, the use of the software brought motivation to involve students in teaching mathematics with autonomy.

Keywords : Computational Thinking; Active Methodologies; Digital Narratives; Functional Relationships.
