Abstract

FURLANI, Juliana Maria Sampaio; MATTA, Cláudia Eliane da  and  COSTA, Matheus Custódio da. Open schooling: challenges and learnings in the production of learning objects. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.77, pp.778-792.  Epub Aug 15, 2023. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.23.077.ds08.

A survey was carried out on teaching materials produced by teachers in continuing education, in a distance course offered on the Moodle platform, in 2021, as part of the actions of a university extension project. The teaching materials produced were learning objects (LO) with the aim of being open educational resources (OER). A cut was made for works in the field of natural sciences. The objective of this article was to verify and understand, through the learning objects produced by the teachers who took the Collaborative Tools course, what were the proposals for the use of digital technologies in the classroom and whether these LOs can be classified as OER. For this, an analytical tool was used to verify the OER. The research is qualitative and descriptive. The results presented are a priori evaluations, as application situations in the classroom were not studied. It is noteworthy that the works had a positive evaluation in the didactic-pedagogical aspects, however the analyzed LOs cannot be considered OER, especially because they were not published and did not contain a license for use. Thus, it was concluded that the course offered is contributing to overcoming the problem of the theory-practice gap in teacher continuing education courses. However, it faced difficulties in producing open educational resources. The paths for the establishment of an open education still need to be better trodden.
