In view of the dossier presented by a group of researchers entitled Editing of scientific journals in Education: contemporary topics, we set out to reflect on the production of the editorial management of a specific education journal in order to reconstruct through the sieve of the research corpus, which combines the articles of the Journal's editorials with quantitative research, the notorious and underlying interdependencies and the variations in the changes of this production in the period from 2007 to 2023. Methodologically, the historical work is based on Elias' (1994) understanding of the temporal dimension, especially his conception of the human capacity to relate different sequences of changes, one of which serves as a reference scale for the others. In conclusion, the corpus of the research reveals that the production of editorial management is logically correlated to the sequences of variations in qualitative and quantitative changes, which constitute the foundations for their interdependence.
