Research plays a fundamental role when it enables reflections and innovations in solutions, as long as it is aligned with the demands of social life. This connection is especially relevant at the intersection between the academic and professional environments, where the skills developed in scientific research can be applied. This study investigates the formative production of the journal Revista Veredas, a publication of the Municipal Department of Education of Curitiba, focusing on the integration between theory and practice in the educational context that involves both the Municipal Education Network and other interested parties. To this end, the exploration of the material and treatment of the results obtained, together with the interpretation, have as parameters for evaluating journals the indicators of Costa and Guimarães (2010); Ferreira (2005); Ferreira and Kryzanowski (2003); Kryzanowsky et al (1991) and Oliveira (2017), and the study is based on the theories of Kuhn (2011) and Latour (2000) on scientific advancement, in addition to highlighting the importance of the link between research and professional practice according to UNESCO guidelines (2010). The article emphasizes the relevance of the interaction between research and practice in the context of the Veredas Journal of the Municipal Department of Education of Curitiba, investigating the publications, formatting, organization, projects and initiatives that give rise to publications in addition to the continuous flow and other issues aimed at this purpose.
