Based on studies that discuss the socio-communicative abilities of babies, this research aims to understand how babies initiate and share playful experiences with their peers and educators in daycare spaces, highlighting the unique ways in which they express their interests and motivations in the relationships they build with others. Thus, a question guides the investigative path: How does the cultural experience of play develop in the daily lives shared by babies and educators in daycare? The data were produced from a qualitative research approach through a case study, developed in the age group called Nursery I of a public municipal daycare center, located in Nossa Senhora do Socorro/SE, composed of eight babies and two educators. Data production was done through observations, notes in a field diary, video recordings, photographs, description of interactive episodes and reflective meetings with the educators. Through their multiple languages, expressed through looks, smiles, gestures, movements, among other sociocommunicative resources, babies built games with their peers and educators, demonstrating their social and communication skills. Therefore, it was possible to conclude that babies invest daily in playful experiences in their actions, in their relationships with others, and they exploring and redefining the spaces and objects available for the development of their interactions and games
