REIS, Claudiojanes et al. Avaliação da percepção de discentes do curso médico acerca do estudo anatômico. Rev. Bras. Educ. Med. [online]. 2013, vol.37, n.03, pp.350-358. ISSN 1981-5271.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the perception of medical students in relation to anatomical study in order to draw up proposals for improving learning of this discipline. It is a cross-sectional study based on a quantitative approach and descriptive analysis. Data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire applied to students of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th academic semesters. For most students, lectures with presentations facilitate learning in human anatomy as memorising the numerous names was identified as the most difficult part of the subject. The majority of students use textbooks and atlases, rarely having any contact with natural parts. 82.59% of the students do not feel confident about their knowledge of the human anatomy. Therefore, in the current context of an expanding medical course curriculum and reduced time spent on human anatomy, the challenge arises of examining the evolution of the curriculum in view of the inclusion anatomy in this process. It is necessary to find a balance between detail and safety, assimilation and applicability of the anatomy, taking into consideration the different methods used for learning of anatomical science.
